Best U.S. Covers of 2011 (According to Magnet)

Posted by Scott On January - 14 - 2012

Finally, a list of best covers from 2011 that are based primarily on sales performance.

Magnet, the U.S.-based data clearing house, just released its picks for the best U.S. covers of 2011, along with the data to back up their choices.

Over the next few days I’ll share with you each of their choices…which are hard to argue with when you see the results.  And hey, they also happen to be viusal treats as well.

According to Magnet, “NEWSWEEK (08321) – Issue 2011-14 – Apocalypse Now  issue of Newsweek:  the nearly 83,000 copy sale resulted in an index of 112.8% over the previous 12 issues.”

This cover proves that black and white covers can sell if the subject matter is timely, even if the topic  is very depressing.
