Scott Bullock has proven himself indispensible in helping Legion Magazine navigate the world of newsstand. Scott provides a blueprint, which respects the core message of our publication, and merges that with effective devices to increase sales. The combination of insight and analysis he delivers is backed by solid research, and his tips for increasing circulation have proven true where it matters, in our bottom line. Those Bullock guidelines have become integral to our design decisions and his enthusiastic approach is appreciated by every member of my team.
Jennifer Morse
General Manager, Legion Magazine
Since Scott joined our publishing team, he has injected a new level of confidence into our publishing style. He has increased circulation so dramatically that we had to reassess our vision for the title to accomodate future growth.
When we are asked by the fly fishing industry about our recent growth in Circulation, our short answer is always that “It’s the Scott Bullock Effect”.
His work on our title has not gone unnoticed by our competition.
He has single-handedly re-positioned Fly Fusion as a leader in its field.
Chris Bird
Co-Publisher, Fly Fusion Magazine

I cannot express enough gratitude to Scott Bullock. His expertise as a circulation consultant has been invaluable to British Columbia Magazine and to me in my own career development. His input and suggestions have far outweighed any expectations we had of him. We thought we would just get good advice on circulation! Instead, we received a passionate, intelligent, creative go-getter who assisted us in coming up with creative strategies to help balance our circulation file, create award-winning covers on the newsstand, award-winning direct mail campaigns, increased newsstand promotions, online renewal analysis. The list goes on and on. Scott continues to serve as a mentor to me, and consistently delivers on his promise to assist us in any way to ensure our success. He is a true gem in this industry!

Scott Bullock’s cover database was an extremely valuable document, which helped focus our discussions around future covers. His input as part of our cover team was very valuable too.
Scott understands the magazines he works for, certainly he understood Azure’s philosophy and its niche market; his input and suggestions for all our covers have always been extremely useful, appropriate and provocative, and have helped us to develop better cover concepts.

Sergio Sgaramella
Publisher, Azure Magazine
Scott’s knowledge of newsstand sales and marketing is second to none. His expertise has been instrumental in helping us develop key strategies aimed at maximizing our newsstand exposure while keeping our costs in line with the realities of today’s marketplace. We have also been able to tap into Scott’s knowledge of what it takes to create a magazine cover that appeals to consumers, and thus further driving sales. Scott’s professionalism and ‘can-do’ attitude also make him a pleasure to work with.

Group Publisher, Kenilworth Media Inc
Scott’s knowledge and expertise of the magazine industry and newsstand sales and circulation in particular is exemplary. What he’s been able to help our magazine accomplish in just 5 short years in terms of raising our profile on the newsstand and improving profitability through single copy sales is incredible. He’s always been attentive to our timelines, our budgets, and how his work fits in with the whole team effort.
Deborah Morrison
Publisher, Canada’s History Magazine
Scott Bullock is a crusader for compelling covers that captivate consumers. He spends more time thinking about the geography and terrain of covers than most if not all magazine art directors. He also crusades for those few retailers willing to help build visibility and sales of new magazines because they understand that consumers are always interested in what’s new and perhaps better.

Publisher, GardenMaking
You’re a class act, Scott. Thanks for being Maisonneuve’s circulation consultant over the past year or more, for your great referrals, for helping us understand the mysteries of the newsstand — and the importance of renewals, gifts, insert cards and telemarketing.
Derek Webster,
Publisher, Maisonnueve Magazine
