Swimsuit Issue 2014

Posted by admin On February - 20 - 2014

The 2014 issue of Sports Illustrated‘s annual Swimsuit issue is now on newsstands.  This SIP is arguably the most well known vertical title on the planet.  This year’s edition is a whopper, with a page count of 260, up 14% from prior year.

This is perhaps the best example of a magazine developing a stand-alone themed franchise.

Last year’s edition sold over 800,000 copies compared to a normal issue of SI which sold 68,000 copies in the first half of 2,013.  Happy 50th Anniversary indeed.
