The April issue of Canadian Yachting features two very different cover treatments. One is for the West and the other for the East.
Both feature sailing boats, but the settings are regionally appropriate. Some cover lines are used on both versions, other sell lines are regionally focused.
In 2012, Canadian Yachting’s newsstand sales increased by 303%.
This year, the cover price has been increased from $5.95 to $6.95 (up 17%) and the title’s frequency has been increased from 6 X a year to 8 X a year.
The Art Director is Petra Dueck. West Coast Editor is Duart Snow. Managing Editor Andy Adams.

Hi John,
The magazine was on Newsstands in 2011. It was handled by a Direct To Retail distributor in Canada, and was available at Chapters/Indigo, Presse Commerce, Book City, and other Specialty newsstands and book stores, for example. The magazine is now distributed by Coast to Coast, and has a much broader distribution. With more copies at more stores, the title has enjoyed remarkable growth. It helps that the magazine also had great success in attracting new advertisers, thus making the book thicker, and more room for quality editorial. Great covers by Petra helped too.
