The January 2012 issue of Canadian Real Estate is sporting a “refreshed” look. The new identity is Canadian Real Estate Wealth. The magazine debuted on Canadian Newsstands effective with the January 2008 issue, and each year the annual Forecast issue is the best-selling issue of the year, and at a $7.99 cover price.
After five years, the magazine decided it was time to give the magazine a bit of a lift. The new logo incorporates the orignal name, but adds the word Wealth, to clearly signal that the magazine is all about helping its readers succeed. The logo has a somewhat “Business Week” feel to it. In addition to taking advantage of the sky bar real estate, and a starburst in the upper right corner, four extra hooks are organized across the bottom of the magazine, using classic tactics like large numerals and the blessed word “Plus!”
“Canadian Real Estate magazine has been rebranded and has become Canadian Real Estate Wealth magazine, to reflect the growing diversity of our readership,” says KMI Media President & CEO Tim Duce. “It is to ensure that our content not only applies to the investor, but also to the average homeowner looking to add value to their home. The industry is changing so we have just simply responded to change.”
