About Can print survive in the digital world?  Today’s publishers and pundits are all in search of the answer.  But magazines should be asking a different question:  who will survive? As a tactile and visually rich medium, magazines stand apart from newspapers and books.  While content is the essence of the product, packaging is what separates us from other print media and from each other.  High production values, page count and compelling cover treatments are the key differentiators and the data is conclusive: packaging counts.Magazines are here to stay.  Readers will continue to enjoy the very personal and luxurious experience of embracing and absorbing a beautifully crafted product that delivers exceptional content.  They will no doubt limit the paper products invited into their homes and offices.  But a great magazine is a unique experience.  And the magazine that invests in its package will always be welcome.

With this we bring you a resource for magazine aficionados everywhere.  Here you will find examples of the latest and greatest, along with old-school ideas that still resonate.  Test your cover savvy with the Quiz Show.  Search our collection of great covers for ideas.  Read and join in our weekly blog for industry news and commentary.  We hope they will inspire you.

About Me

Scott Bullock’s Newsstand Cover Quiz Show is legendary in the industry. Using covers as the catalyst, this interactive and entertaining format is a light-hearted but hard-hitting spin on Packaging 101. Testing the cover savvy of magazine professionals across disciplines, the Quiz Show pits publishers against editors, circulators against art directors, retailers against wholesalers -- ultimately leading to new common ground in the quest for better covers.
